Main research activities: biogeochemistry of trace elements in the environment, development of X-ray based analytical methods.

Procedure manager of the “Micro X-ray Lab”. Master in Agricultural Sciences. PhD in Agricultural Chemistry, Associate Professor at the Department of Soil, Plant and Food Sciences of the University of Bari “Aldo Moro”.
Main research activities: bioavailability and eco-toxicity of organic and inorganic contaminants in soil, biogeochemistry of trace elements in soils, sustainable management of plant mineral nutrition.

Laboratory Supervisor of the “Micro X-ray Lab”. Master of Science in Diagnosis and Conservation of Cultural Heritage, PhD in Agricultural Chemistry, Researcher at the Department of Soil, Plant and Food Sciences of the University of Bari “Aldo Moro”,
Main research interests: arsenic contamination of soils, X-ray based analytical techniques, X-ray computed microtomography,  archaeometry and cultural heritage conservation.

Master in Science for the Diagnosis and Conservation of Cultural Heritage, PhD in Earth Sciences and Environmental Dynamics, he is Researcher at the Department of Biological and Environmental Science and Technology of the University of Salento.
Main research activities: thermo-mechanical study of composites and concrete, mineralogical and petrographical characterization of materials and soils, analysis of organic and inorgamic environmental materials through the use of X-ray based techniques, archaemotry and diagnosis on cultural heritage.

Main research activities: study of dynamics of major and trace elements in the soil-plant system; characterization of heavy metal polluted soils by X ray techniques; remediation strategies.

Chemist, PhD in Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Civil, Environmental, Territorial, Construction Engineer and Chemistry of the Polytechnic University of Bari.
Main research activities: use of organic and inorganic wastes in building materials and for trapping heavy metals from wastewaters; biodegradation of persistent pollutants in water through the use of photocatalytic materials; use of nanoparticles for the preparation of functional materials.

 

Boghetich

Adriano Boghetich

Technical Supervisor of the Electron Microscopy and Microanalysis Laboratory. Formerly specialized technician at the Electron Microscopy Laboratory of the Applied Chemistry Institute of the Politechnic University of Bari. He has experience in the characterization of cementitious, metallic and plastic materials as well as in the identification of asbestos fibers in the environment. He is also supervisor of the Technological Laboratory of the Chemistry Group at DiCATECh, dealing with the preparation of building materials with recycled wastes.

Master and PhD in Earth Sciences, Researcher at the Institute of Plasma Science and Technology (ISTP) of the Italian Research National Council (C.N.R.).
Main research activities: Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy applied to environmental materials (minerals, gems, meteorites, rocks, soils), fertilizers, plants and cultural heritage, laser-matter interaction, laser spectroscopy, innovation plasma applications, morphological characterization techniques (AFM, SEM, TEM).
