Bari is the Capital City of Apulia Region on the Adriatic Sea, in Southern Italy. It is the second most important economic centre of mainland Southern Italy after Naples, a port and university city, as well as the city of Saint Nicholas. Bari and Apulia Region are world-famous touristic places, especially for summer vacations, with several natural, historical and cultural attractions.
The Summer School Venue is located at the former Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bari Campus in Via Amendola 165/A.
You can reach the Venue in Bari by car, bus, train or airplane.
By car: the Venue can be reached by highway A14, taking Exit “Bari-Nord” and then driving to direction Brindisi on route SS16 until exit 13A (San Pasquale). Drive straight toward the city center through Via Amendola for about 2.5 km. You will find the University Campus on the left (“Facoltà di Agraria”).
By bus: several bus companies (e.g. Marino and Flixbus) stop in Via Capruzzi (close to the railway station). From the bus stop, the Venue is at 1.5 km, walking through Via Capruzzi and Via Amendola. You will find the University Campus on the right (“Facoltà di Agraria”).
By train: from Bari Central Station you have to exit in “Via Capruzzi” and then walk to the left for about 700 m, then take Via Amendola on the right and walk for about 800 m. You will find the University Campus on the right (“Facoltà di Agraria”).
By plane: from Bari “Carol Wojtyla” airport, you can reach the Venue directly by taxi (35-30 €), or the city center (FS Railway Station – Piazza Aldo Moro) by AMTAB local autobus line 16 (40-45 min, 1€), Tempesta bus (20-30 min, 4.15€) or by train (20 min, 5€). You can buy the ticket on the bus and at the train station at the airport. Once you reach FS Railway Station, take the pedestrian railway passage to Via Capruzzi, then walk to the left for about 700 m, then take Via Amendola on the right and walk for about 800 m. You will find the University Campus on the right (“Facoltà di Agraria”).
